INVESTEC WEALTH & INVESTMENT SPONSOR BI-ANNUAL MENTORS CONFERENCE
We are delighted to announce that Investec Wealth & Investment are sponsoring our bi-annual Mentors Conference on 4th December.
Investec Wealth & Investment have a background in supporting organisations who make a meaningful contribution to the local community. Their sponsorship recognises the centre of excellence that is Dorset Business Mentors and our positive impact on the resilience and growth of business in our county.
Twice a year we invite our pool of over 120 Mentors across Dorset to attend a conference. This includes a variety of presentations from speakers invited to provide specialist insight to help us support business in the matters challenging them today, as well as resources of interest to mentees such as local and national funding opportunities. The conferences also enable us to thank our valued Mentors for contributing their invaluable time and experience freely as volunteers.
Our forthcoming conference will include presentations from Nick Gregory of Dorset Growth Hub about evolvements in the business support landscape, Martin McAndrew & Tim Murley from Blue Thirst who will be giving a CPD on digital marketing, and Mentor Steve Wells will be looking ‘Behind the Business’ where mentoring is concerned.
Presentations will round off with Charlotte Bowater of Dorset Business Mentors giving a preview of our exciting new brand and website which will launch in the New Year. She will also introduce a new video case study interview with Firepot (Outdoorfood) Founder John Fisher.

Dorset Business Mentors was founded in 2005 as a not-for-profit programme and is focused on ensuring its service is affordable and therefore accessible even to the smallest business. This is achieved by a combination of funding from Dorset’s two local authorities and Mentors giving their valuable time on a voluntary basis. The reach and impact of the service is furthered by partnerships with public and private organisations who are aligned in serving the interest of business owners and the local landscape. The contribution of Investec Wealth & Investment further supports the development strategy of Dorset Business Mentors as we seek to increase awareness of this transformational service to our county’s business community.
